ok so im getting extremely bored while making the led fixture for my 125. the worst part is soldering and setting the drivers are a pain too because i have to take apart all 12 and turn down the potential knob because its always high. so any tips on how to get it done faster because its really getting boring now. i love making them and helping people out but with such a large fixture like this its a pain.

well to make it go fast solder every led first before putting on the heat seat . If it on the heat sink it will be very hard to solder. Then when there all on the heat sink just solder the wire on the leds . Its really not that hard then just dail in the driver to 700 to 800 mA

If it's worth doing right it's worth taking your time doing. Plain and simple. I find that if something is honestly boring, I never really was into doing it in the first place but that's just me. Sometimes the grandest things are made up of the smallest parts ;)

on the datasheet it says to dial them in at 1000ma to get the best flux. i put them a little lower a 980. thats o right because i just did 7 drivers like that and i would hate to turn them back down again.

idk what they called but they are the type of fixture that is round, and there are about 5 LEDs on each one. By Each one, I mean like each "lamp"...Im not gonna have a rectangular fixture like my T5s

cool yea that would be perfect because in order to have reef lighting with those bulbs you need 8 bulbs with 7 leds in each so you can hang four on top of each partition of the tank

I'll take a pic of my tank soon. It'll be sure to surprise everyone, from all of those "mistakes" that I made.

I just added some new frags today...Oh and I still have to take pics of the zoos
