Are people seriously still complaining about this years swap??

ok..guys..lets all take a nice deep breath..relax..stare at our tanks..and then go and log on MR...if we do this before we start posting all this crazy stuff ..maybe we wont be as harsh..hahaha..nah for real though..its a CORAL SWAP people!! this isnt the jacob javits international car show..nor is it MACNA..for a small group of people to have something like this twice a year..i think thats dedication on most part...ive been to every frag swap since i joined MR..its the same setup everytime..yes i know it wwas hot as hell in there..but what do you expect..we got great weather!! i bet if it was snowing out..everyone would be complaining about how cold it is..we really cant do much about controlling temp of the room..also, everyones complaining that they have to wait before they can get a chance to view and buiy some frags from the vendors because theres soo many people...well i bet it would suck if there was no one there at all..that would make it an empty swap..how long do people usually wait at a crowded bar for a beer or liquor?? its the same thing..everyone always talks about how we need patience with this hobby..well we should also have some patience at events..i thnk that the pratt univ is a great spot because they are able to do small tank tours..i went once..loved it..and didnt need to go again..so for all the 1st timers..this is a nice perk that they are offering..and now forthe food...theres sandwiches and pizza and pasta...if you dont eat that...theres lots of places to eat around the area..or dont eat at all..a frag swap is just like any conference/event/car show/black friday sale/clearance sale.......first person to get there gets first dibs..and i know everyone saw ALLLLLL the vendors pre swap posts..so you could easily have reserved your pieces..MR is becoming a forum where all people do is complain...damn people..how old is everyione here?? i know im probably a newbie still and one of the young guys..but why should i complain about every little thing that i dont like..if i dont like how somethings done..then i dont do it..i go to the swap to hang out and meet all the members..nice meeting all my new frag buddies by the way ..hahahaha..ok..i think ive typed enough..if anyone thinks that $25 is a lot for admission which includes food...then you shouldnt choose this as a hobby..i spend that amount on 2 drinks at a bar...and last but not least........if you were not at the swap......then stop complaining about what you "heard"....once again..ill end it here...this is a HOBBY guys..stop taking things so serious..if anyone has anything to say........feeel free to post

if you guys didnt find something you were looking for..all you have to do is ask..i know for sure if a vendor can get something for someone..they will try their best to get it..profit for them..happiness for us..

I couldn't agree more..when you have like 300 people in a room all breathing 98.6 oxygen into the air it's gonna be hot..that's why most of us go outside for a breather. Common sense take your jacket off or leave it in the car. Good reference w/ the beer at a bar scenario. What about if every time you went into a LFS they rushed you out in 30 seconds? Buy a coral or get the hell out LOL. People would be pissed off. People should expect that at a sold out event with hundreds of people things can get a little hectic.

I just wrote a lengthy reply but I got timed out and lost it!! I had a great time and thank those who put in the effort so I could meet my fellow reefers, hear the speakers, and view a great selection of livestock and drygoods. The food was OK, but who cares......really!

For those that were dissapointed, nothing wrong with that!!! Next time maybe those issues can be resolved to make it even better!! If they don't think these events are worth $25 they don't have to go. Organizers should not be "thinned skinned" and realize you can't please everybody. Negative comments should be welcomed and looked at to see if they are reasonable and fixable.

First of I didnt go to the swap but It is a good thing that people are voicing there opinions, whether it be bad or good. The reason I say this is because the organizers are taking notes and will make the necassary changes to make the next swap better. To the organizers please dont let this deter you from organizing these swaps because I look forward to attending swaps in the future. My father organizes a few parades & festivals in jersey city & union city and people don't realize the amount of work that goes into organizing something like this. Not everything is going to be perfect & not everyone is going to be happy but the good thing is that there are people who are making this event happen. Good luck on future events.

Forgot to say thank you to all the vendors that came out!! Im sure they too felt the heat, especially since they stayed in one spot from start to finish!! Great selection great prices. No complaints on my side.
