Just saw Sanjay's post about buying 'cheap' IC glue...made me think that maybe we should have a separate forum for STEALS, DEALS, and 'ON THE CHEAP'.

That would be the place to post about Petco's $1 gallon sale...or Home Depot having deal on Mag Flakes...Post a link to making your own 2 part solution...just found a 300g tank on craigslist for $20!
You get the idea...

Anything that can help us all save $ , EXCEPT...not for members/vendors things, that belong in the FS forum. (we already know, that's where the best deals are!)

i understand and think that would be smart. like if a pet shop is going out of business and everything is say 50% off, POST IT. or something random like that with a deal of a lifetime...

Other forums I have been on have a daily deals thread that is stickied to the top. But usually it it's one guy who updates it. Maybe something like that would work

Maybe a "best deals" topic, that would be more appropriate than "DIY", since a good deal isn't necessarily a DIY.

Seems like a good idea, except it may get abused by stealth vendors or friends of them that will say Stealth Vendor John Doe just got a huge shipment of cheap fish/corals! Well, maybe not that obvious but you get the point.
