Calcium level

My calcium level is at 500. I'm sure it's not good, but how bad is it?

Just leave it alone, it will slowly drop as your corals use it up. What are your other readings, Alk & Mag?

yes...i try to keep it around 10-12 dkh or i think its 2.54 Meq/L

Also I had this problem for a long time I was using coralife salt which is real high in cal .also if ur alk is real low it will make ur cal read high

the only problem I had running at 500 was I had to clean my pumps and heaters more often from calcium build up..I'm runing it at 475 for a few years now with alot less cleaning with no noticable effects on growth etc...

Ideal parameters that I keep my tanks at are cal 475-500, alk 11-12, mag 1600. I keep my levels a little elevated so there is always ample elements.

Im pretty sure its the tropic marin, basically any of the kits that require titration are going to be the most accurate.
