the only way in a reef setup is as camanuch said, 6 weeks no fish, you might even want to go 8 weeks to be on the safe side. ich is a nasty little bugger we all hate. this hobby would be so much easier without it! i'm afraid to start a reef setup just because of it. fowlr for now. maybe when i get a lot more experience! READ READ READ is the best advise i can give as i have learned the hard way. there is NO reef safe treatment/medication that works.

I have the EXACT same problem. I spent an hour re-arranging all my rock so i can catch my fish and put them in quarantine. Only difference was the 2 fish i had left seem to be immune to the Ich so i never had a problem with them in there. And go for 8 weeks, i did 5 weeks and it wasn't enough. My tanks been empty for 10 days now and its the longest damn 10 days ever. Look on the bright side, for the next 8 weeks you wont spend money.

if you leave any fish in the tank then the ich will survive. if you went through the trouble of removing all but 2 fish, then you really aren't accomplishing a thing. even though the fish might seem to be immune or don't show any signs, they can still be carriers. hence the reason why you still have ich in your tank after the 5 weeks. play it safe remove all fish and i used cupramine by seachem (not to be used with corals or invets but my hermits are ok...use it in a qt or fowlr) its a milder form of copper that is removable. worked for me! p.s. I CAN'T STAND ICH!!!!
