I have a JBJ ATO. When I bought it I was given a little pump to go with it (can't remember name of it offhand). Bu this pump is not able to get the water from ground level up to the tank.

I do not need alot of power/flow for ATO. Should I just go pick up a tiny submersible powerhead??

only problem with a maxijet is that its to strong for your nano. when the ATO kicks on-it will dump way too much water and your level will be off. you need to use something like a doser pump from BRS. water trikles in slow.. or you can use a Toms lifter pump but they are not reliable.. i tossed it n bought the BRS doser.

Ok good point! I am not sure what type of pump that I have, but the water does not even drip. :)

i used this pump as well but sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldnt.. it seems like this pump is not meant to lift water this high. i changed it out with this one.. its a lil pricey but i havent checked my ATO since i got it.. always right on.. i drips the water slow

if u like try the pump u have. wat u do is put it up on the second shelf of the cabinet. that way the pumps is pushing up the water a lil less.. i noticed mine work a lil better when i had it as high as possible

I actually had it on the top of the case, right under the tank so I really cant get it any higher. Maybe I will give it one more shot. I really dont want to spend 100 on a pump rt now. My buddy has a little rio that I may try out for now and see what happen before I actually buy anything
