They don't always get it right when they ship fish. Sometimes 1 or 2 fish will slip in their that are not supposed to be in a shipment or it was mis labled at the large warehouse. Who knows, what happens or why it does. Keep an eye on the fish see if it changes at all when it gets bigger. I saw a purple tang once come in a Hawaiian shipment and they come from the Red Sea.

At a half dollar it should still be yellow or at least a hint of yellow. It should get a to a couple of inches pretty quick. Then you should be able to tell better.

I highly doubt it's an Atlantic Blue tang. Outside of it not having some yellow in it, which at that size it surely would, there is a big difference is in the tail, not to mention the shape is wrong for a Atlantic Blue. Also Atlantic Blue have stress bars that run up and down the body, which are pretty easy to see. I think it's in the family of Ctenochaetus, which a lot of them look very blue when they're small, the Blue Line tang is a prefect example of this.
