So, I bought some zoas, a torch coral and a ricordea from Kissena Aquariums on Saturday and I bought a Xenia and more zoas yesterday from Wingo.

Two great buys!!

However, last night I noticed a tiny white creature on my aquarium glass. It is somewhat circular, has about 6 legs, 2 antennae and has somewhat of a snail body. It is white in color. It is on the glass and moving very slowly.

This morning I woke up and took a look at the tank only to find about 5 of these. Some are much smaller than others. They are all about 2mm or less in size, some being like a pencil dot.

I was able to get a picture that will hopefully help identify this creature. It looks bigger in the picture than it actuall is.
I am hoping it is some type of copepods and nothing that can be ahrmful to the corals I just purchased.

Please help!!

Sorry for the bad pic. Taken from my phone.

Will try to get a better pic once I get home. These things are so tiny and because they are on the front glass, it is hard to get a front pic of them. I do have a waterproof camera...maybe I will drop it in there and try to get a frontal picture...lol

Anyone in the Flushing area that can maybe stop by and identify.. :)

Sadly, looks like nothing in that link. I though it was maybe copepods but from the pics I see online, copepods have a more longer body than circular.
My creature kind of has a circular shape that kind of twirls around just like a snail shell..hard to describe.
I will definitely try to get more pics later. Hopefully they haven't caused any damage by then.. :)

Haven't seen anything on there that looks like what I have. Maybe I have just babies and they will eventually turn into one of those creatures on the website..

Keeping my fingers crossed they are not harmful.

I came home, grabbed my camera but to my dismaycould not find any of the dots. I am sure they will emerge again when the lights go off.

My wife got a good look of them and said that from the front, they definitely look like snails. Except they are white and you can almost see through them.

If they return, I will definitely take them out and bring it to the LFS. I have been looking online and found some pictures of Nerite snail eggs but I doubt that is what they are unless snail eggs move..lol

Thanks for the suggestions and helpful information

Low and behold, the creatures are back..lol
I tried and tried to get a good pic. This is the best one I got. Hope this will help in identification. It looks much bigger in the picture than it actually is. The size is about 1-2mm.

Thanks for any help.

NOOOOOO!!!!!

That'e the one thing I read about that I didn't want it to be.

Do you think these things piggybacked on the corals I bought over the weekend. I only noticed them after I put the corals in.. :(

Also trying to find a pic of nudi online that looks like what I have. If it is nudi, hopefully there is an easy way to get rid of them..so far I only see them on the glass and not the rocks or corals...

I really don't know how they could have gotten into your system. Did you dip your corals first???

No easy way to get rid of them. You actually have to be very careful and see if there are any eggs around.

Lets see if anyone else chimes in. A pic from the top will help more. I am not 100% sure what it is.
