Any idea what this is?

I found this stuck to my mp40 yesterday. It was a hard looks to be solid sack. I am at a loss

It could be a snail or a piece of bubble algae.
Does it look like a little hard green sack of water? ..if so it is a piece of bubble algae

Definitely need a clearer pic. From what I can see and your description, it sounds like a vermitid snail

Sorry took a quick iphone pic before i ran out. The sac was brownish with dark brown stripes near the pinched end. The sac itself was hard but appeared to be hollow and empty. it was about 1'' or so big.

No it looked like a blown glass bubble best I can describe. If someone who blows glass decided to make a kidney bean

Did you keep it out of the tank?
Does it smell? (careful..if it is a dead snail - it will near knock you over if you take a good wiff...)

We'd still love to get a better/closer pic of it so we can figure this out
