Rock with orange/red grow on it

This rock with orange/red grow on it I find in Florida while snorkeling on the rocks. It is hard on surface, so it's not a sponge.
Please help to identify.

I cannot beleive, that noone has any idea what this could posible be> experts where are you???? LOL.
Really appriciate if anyone has a identification hint.

Could it possibly be coralline algae? Hard to tell in a pic..does it have the same type surface as the typical coralline?

lol, nah, I might have just gotten lucky
I can't think of anything else it could be ..and I have it growing in that color in one of my tanks.

Did you bring a piece of it home for your tank?
