Little white sponges

Have lot of those little white sponges esp in the overflow box. Chexking online images looks like pineapple sponges they would call . Is it bad ? Plus there like little toothpick like grow on all the rocks. What is that ?

Pineapple sponges is harmless., if u can get a pic of the other thing will help try To let u know,

sounds like them to me..a few are harmless, but if you are getting alot of them it's a sign of too much nutriants in your water... they are filter feeders. One of the water quality indicators I use along with excessive algae etc...

At least they are in the overflow.
