Looks kind of like a red planet

i have the red planet and it doesnt look like this one lol. this one is going to be crazy looking when it fully branches out. cant wait and still waiting for a name, i will keep you guys posted on the growth with this piece.

I agree with the red planet. I've seen it look like that under certain spectrum or color mix of LEDs.

One thing that is cool/interesting about this hobby is the color mix you get out of a coral as you change the color mix provided by the light!

Higher up in a tank the red planet get a deep green base with red polyps and lower the red planet gets real pink looking. The picture you have there looks like my red planet when it was right under my LEDs high in the tank

i find the opposite....higher up it gets more red almost no green and lower gets more green by the base.

red planet is my guess also. but i do have a piece similar to that....got it as watermelon acro.....whatever that is. i'll try to get a pic. later.

yea let me get a pic watermelon of your watermelon acro. Want to compare them.

here are the pics....best i can do with a point and shoot...
green body, purplish corallites, red polyps, the new growth has blue body and red/purple corallites and polyps. polyps normally extended at night and after feeding.
