They almost look like spiders. At first I thought they might be brittle stars but they don't move like brittles and are in the light all day long. I can't tell if they have some sort of stem or foot. Looked on chucks addiction, couldn't find anything close.
These thing move really fast when you get close to them. They dart into the rock crevice. Like I said, they look like some sort of spider, but most of what I found online says most sea spiders have a small body in comparison to the legs. They don not move like brittle stars, again more like spiders.
And yes Jerl, I have "slacked" on my maintenance. Been trying to get my boat up to speed. So my extra time has been spent on that.
The algae is outta control in my tank, bryopsis and all. Gonna try raising the mag to see if I can get rid of it. But that's another thread. We'll get back to that.
Now class, if you would kindly open your text books to page 123...
I thought that too but, they don't look like any. Hyrdoids that I could find online. I know there are a lot of different species of hydroids, these don't look similar to anything I saw.
Okay, got a better look at one of them. They have a stem and foot, and look like a nasty mean spider on top. Anatomically, they are built like aptasia. They're tentacles lie flat though (giving a spider like appearance). I'll see if I can get a better pic. Nobody has seen these before?
