What the heck are these little things?

I'm guessing theyre some kinda worm but they dont have a featherduster type of extension. Just a long slimy string that catches particles in the water

+1 I have them in my tank. I just snap them off whenever I find one. Not a final solution but it beats seeing them shoot that web out when they feed
