Looks like an emerald crab to me, look it up and compare pics to what you have. If it is you got a nice hitchhiker

Looks like a xanthid rock crab. Dig holes in rock.
Otherwise not sure of evil ness

The carapace looks like an emerald but those claws look like they're in steroids. All my emeralds have smaller claws. Are there legs hairy ?

having the devil of a time catching this dreadful creature. He's eaten some of my sympodium and I would like to exact revenge. Actually I just want him out. I've tried some small traps, I've tried glass (tilted) - but the CUC and everyone else in the tank get in the trap. I ordered a mantis trap. Any other suggestions???
