Aiptasia or Ugly Zoas

Got this rock with beautiful red mushrooms from an MR member. Can anyone tell me if the picture shown are aiptasia or just run of the mill zoas?

I would cut the whole top portion of the rock off

Ugly fast growing paly. Will out grow anything near it.

Thanks to all for the posts. It will be meeting with a hacksaw very soon. Already paly poisoned myself once and once was enough.

If you cut into a polyp, it could release some toxin (like a squirt). Wear gloves and cover your eyes/mouth or keep it far away from your face!
