your lighting is on the really blue side ? ive seen that algea in green but not blue. pull rock and try to squirt peroxide on the algea then do a bath of 50/50 peroxide tank water and should start to kill it off

I turn the whites only and yes it is green. And after a research it is bryopsis. I was reading that raising my magnesium level to 1600 n keeping it for 2 weeks should do the trick. Any experience on this??

If it is bryopsis, raising the Mg - and partially pulling it out (good luck with that :() is the only real way to get rid of it. It is about the worst algae to have to deal with.

One thing you need to know - you need to use the Kent Tech M MG..for whatever reason, it is something in only their brand of MG that kills it off.

As mentioned, raise it slowly (instructions about how much to add are on the bottle - follow them!) and be sure to check the level with a test kit too.

Just so i dont mess up!! If i add 1ml per gallon i will raise the level by 18.3 ppm per day. Since i can raise it up to 100ppm per day that means i will have to add up to 5ml per gallon so it will raise the level to 91.5??
This is the instructions on the bottle.

f you have a magnesium test kit it will better determine how much the level is raised either way I would go slow.besides the sps corals the zoa's and all you lps corals will fade and almost become transperant if you aim to hit your mark.not too worry you but the colors will come back faster than they where lost.go slow!work your way up to the mark you need over a weeks time don't hit the mark your aiming for in one day!
