Anemone ID Please! Can't get it to attach to anything.

I'd love to know what kind of anemone this is. I can't get it to attach to any rockwork or rubble. It opens up to about the size of a baseball. If anyone is interested in it, I'd be willing to trade or sell it. Thanks guys. Located on LI.

Hmmm do you have a picture of the base? I've seen something similar at my LFS, and they had it labeled as an octopus anemone. From my experience with anemones not all will attach to rock/rubble, some prefer to sit on the sand, or put their foot through the sand and onto the glass at the bottom of the tank. I have a neon green carpet whose foot is 4 inches under the sand and attached to the bottom of the tank.

i usually turn of the power heads and return pump for a hour or two after i put a new anemone in

I turned off the power heads and had it wedged in a peaceful spot on the rock... Overnight. No dice.
