Thanks buddy! It sure looks like it from the pictures I saw when I googled them, but the only difference is that this one doesn't seem to have any polyps extended. I know that it may not be opened because I just put it in the tank, but if looked the same way when I picked it out. Are there different types that have more or less polyp extension, or is this thing just unhappy and closed up?
mine does better under low light thats when it extends its polips the most i have a smaller one up higher in the light colum and its polips are not extended nearly as much its a pretty fast grower
I have it on the sandbed now and it seems to have expanded quite a bit, doesn't seem to have actual normal SPS polyps, more like its inflated like a LPS.

For years people have argued whether or not it was LPS or SPS. With it's stinging sweeper tentacles I would treat it like an LPS coral. The only coral that is more aggressive is Galaxea
