Yes, favia family.
Just have never seen one like this with the round nods.
Is there a specific specis of favia for this type?

I believe those nods are some kind of abnormal growth.

If you are referring to the 2 round mounds dead center, one above the other, in the picture, they are vermetid snail tubes that have been covered by coral tissue.

Sorry, I was referring to the yellow/gold color globe things.
I've had favias before, but not like this - interesting, no?

could actually be a favites. Without seeing the skeleton it's hard to tell. Favities share coralite walls, favias don't.

you can't 100% say that without looking at its skeletal structure.....to me it looks very much like this acan on live aquaria refering to those "yellow/gold globes"
