Purple Algae

Ok,
So, I will upload a picture soon...but someone might be able to tell me what it is a have growing out of my green polyp LR.
It looks a type of algae that I had once when I purchased some LR. It is purple and growing out of my rock which houses my green polyps.

Any thoughts...maybe someone else has seen it?

Hoping it is not harmless...
