Ok I am in the middle of a heated discussion with a non member who saw my 2009 MR calendar today. The June pic is taken by MOIDOL. Here it is:

What kind of clowns are they?

cant go by the thickness of the lines you have to count the dorsal fins to know for sure

ok, so after doing research, True Percs have 10 (in rare cases 9) dorsal spines, whereas False Percs have 11 (in rare cases 10) dorsal spines. Also, supposedly the front part of the dorsal fin of the False is taller... although Im not sure if it means taller then a True Perc's or taller then the rest of its own fin.

Anyway, I think I count 11 in both fish pictured, so that along with coloring, and I'm sticking with my False Perc answer.

you guys are being silly both true and false perc.'s have eyeballs.
these two however can't see very well because of the cataracts. as per albano, one had lasik so perhaps that one can see better.....lol

easier way to determine, why don't we ask them what they are.....any fish whisperer wanna chime in?
