The picture is not clear but there are not clustered in one spot but there a few scattered in different spots, not too many though. When i try to touch them or put my hand near them they shrink in, they are bright red in color and feathered almost look like lint. Is it Cyano?? Is it bad?? and if it is how do you get rid of it.

BTW it is that red thing on top of that white squigly line in the middle of the pic on the rock

Feather dusters I should have known goes to show you I am still a rookie. I knew it wasnt coraline thanks guys just one question do this guys get bigger

they do grow but not very big. the kind you have have(have have...looks weird but grammatically correct....lol) hard calcareous shell but not the same kind as the coco worm...those are much much bigger(few mm across the plume vs inches). and compare to the typical hawaiian feather duster, that's like a kayak vs. the staten island ferry.:biglaugh:

+1 they don't really get bigger than that so much. What they do is populate your system. SO COOL!

If they are left alone in a stable system, they have the ability to pop up all over the place. My sump is full of them, and so is my main tank, tho in the main tank, they are not in full light. In my system they tend to grow where the uber-colorful sponges grow.
