All of a sudden these things are springing up on my rocks and plastic plants.
It kinda looks like a light brown sponge, but I don't know.
Theses pictures are not the best, due to a crappy camera.
I'll see if I can borrow a better high def camera later on.

There now speading like wild fire! :irked:
Someone please help me identify theses

I've search arount the web, but can't find out anything on these.

Help Please

thanks

Light brown
About 1/8" to 1/4" around
They extend from about 1/4" to 1".
Have a hole going through it at the top.
(hole seems to go straight through it)

I'm finding them on rocks, plants, and attached to the sand
If it touch them, they initially don't seem to move,
but it I keep pestering it, it will compress slightly.

Don't seem to bother anything, but I don't want future problems.
No new rocks have been added to the tank, for about a year.
I don't remember ever seeing them before!

THANKS

what do they look like

Yeah that's what I thought it may be too,
but this is strange since no one I know has ever seen one.

Questions are:
Can it make problems down the line? (AKA dangerous)
How could it just turn up after a year with no new rocks?
How can I get rid of them, if they spread like rabbits?

Sounds like a sponge

OK, I finally borrowed another camera, but still not the greatest pixs.
I have to find a camera with a macro on it...

They look like sponges, but how do I stop them from spreading?
