Saw it poking out of my zoas. Lights were on for a good 4 hours so it isn't nocturnal. Has claws that retract into itself. Black with brown spots. Moves like an erect cobra. Claws come out and pick up particles. Reminds me of something from Dune.
Yeah, it does look like some sort of duster worm. But if you're worried about it, I'll taker it and the colony of zoa's that it's on. Lol... Btw, what's up Author. How's that new project coming along ?
yes, it moves like a snake and when i brush my finger against the zoas to get a closer look it retracts fairly quickly into the rock. can't seem to find where it begins so i can't catch it.
portuga! what's going on? been working quite a bit and had guests from brazil over so been kinda sidetracked. Didn't even have time to finish my led strip i started a few months ago. lmk whenever you're in the city.
widdy, i had no idea featherdusters could move. thought they were stationary. researching now.
the claws grab at the lr and pick up what it can find.
Ahhh. I've seen that in my tank and it also freaked me out. You're right it does look like something out of a movie. I did also observe it for quite some time and the little thing is harmless. The most freaky part about it is how it retracts and reopens its mouth or whatever it is.
