I don't know if you guys can see it good but it's purple in color ,hairy, and grew with in the span of a couple of hours :-/ . It also has lots of bubbles in it ......
For some reason my water evaporates at a fast pace..so when I get up I have micro bubbles everywhere , my live rock has lots of air bubbles underneath them. Could that be the cause of the purple thing growing on one of them???

The purple/red stuff that was growing on my rock was eating by my yellow tang :-/ it's been two days since he chomped on it , he still looks good :)
And the purple/red stuff hasn't grown back :)

Try a bacterial product called "MicrobeLift Special Blend". It is NOT a chemical but bacteria in a bottle. After two doses all of my cyano disappeared. It does not affect skimmer operation at all and does not harm anything in tank. It really works. I had Cyano everywhere and couldn't get rid of it. In 1 week it's all gone. You'll get a lot of posts after this saying "Good Husbandry". Find the root source, don't add anything. This is bacteria and is part of good husbandry and it works.
