Just FYI Mary:

Last week I bought 4 shrimpfish ( Aeoliscus strigatus ) and put them in my 46 gallon coral Q-tank.
I tried to feed them live brine ( too big) and frozen baby brine shrimp ( not really that interested )
Then I tried Argent Cyclop-eeze. These are freeze dried micr-crustaceans. The product looks like a fine powder and you can just barely make out the individual animals.
The shrimpfish took right to it and now eagerly consume all they can get.

These fish are really cool.
Attached is a picture.

Please excuse the algae overgrowth. It's just a holding tank remember.

Perhaps I'm overreacting, but aren't their prices a bit high?

I mean, a refractometer for $389??

And twelve 100g cans of cyclop-eeze for $180?

Yikes!

I'd be interested in trying this product, but not at that price!

I paid 9.99 for my 100gm can.
You don't use much at a time, so this will last me for a couple months.

I'm sorry but my can is 30 grams. It will still last about 2 months however.
The 100 gram size is probably the size of a Fosters oilcan.
30 grams is plenty for the home user (and I have a 1000 gallon tank)

Hi: I feed my baby bangaii's cyclop-eze when they are about 2 weeks old along with my homemade prepared foods.. They are freeze dried copepods. I really don't feel they are that nutritoius since they are freeze dried and most of the nutrition is taken out in the process. I would really like to get a hold of some prawn eggs...they are loaded with HUFA's.

Thanks Kalk, Bio-Aquatics keeps telling me he is out till Oct or Nov. Weren't you feeding your fish some kind of sushi eggs (you showed me once I was in your store). Wonder if they are small enough for fry?

Just wanted to post an update.

The shrimpfish did very well the past month in the QT eating the cyclop-ezze (and the copepods available in the tank)

I moved them yesterday into my 1000 gallon reef tank and they adjusted right away.

They continue to love the freeze dried food and will hover horizontally at the surface to eat it.

Again, this food gets a huge thumbs-up from me.

Next I am going to try it on a mandarinfish while in QT. Since the diets are the same for both types of fish I am hoping the mandarinfish will accept the cyclop-ezze. If it does it will be the first time I have ever heard of a mandarinfish taking freeze dried food.

EXCELLENT!! I need a emoticon that has 2 thumbs up! I am extremely interested in what you come up with for the mandarins. If you have good luck with yours I'll import some and see if I can get them to eat it too.
