I am in the process of putting together a financial/business plan for our investors that will allow us to open a new (wholesale) propagation and holding facility in Canada. This quest is due to extremely high wholesale prices to the retail facilities here - thus increasing SW livestock costs even more. We have connections to bring in high-quality livestock for excellent prices - but only in larger volumes. ---thus this project.
What I am looking for is any input anyone in the industry may have on who I should contact in respect to commercial holding systems (have a local tank manufacturer who will build to specs - but am curious about other companies and what they might be able to offer), and other commercial equipment suppliers. This will be somewhere upwards of a 10,000+ sq/ft facility, that will need to hold fish as well as corals. We are also wanting to offer propagated corals...so this type of 'vats' would be incorporated too. I need to set-up everything from the holding tanks/vats to filtration to lighting - etc.
Anyone who has any specifics of who I should contact and/or if you could provide me with some insight on what has/hasn't worked for you...it would be greatly appreciated.
