Well its been over a week without a peep from Mr. Ryan. I am just wondering where he went and what has happened with Reeform. Anybody got any info???

It was a bad attempt at a triple entendre (red is the color of the manifesto, hockey is a Canadian obsession, and wing was a play on left-wing). It was well past my bedtime when I posted it.

Perhaps he "cared too much" and mistakenly thought this was the place to express it.
There is something about people of passion that grate people without any it the wrong way. It is safer to have lightly held beliefs, shallow convictions and think only about the short term self.
"Off base and misguided" you think? Perhaps...but what about our trade isn't?
Take it easy Wayne. Reform will happen anyway as an unsustainable trade will self correct if the people running it cannot.
Either thru commercial depletion and cessation of activity or local regulation which is happening all over the Philippines...without our involvement.
The Philippines must relize and perhaps does more than we know...the exploiter makes a strange reformer. The reformers in this trade are finding there is more currency in covering and fronting for the trade than reforming it. The answers will have to come therefore more from the Filipino side.
Just because we are not aware of things in motion in the Philippines does not mean anything. Changes are coming and the industry sad to say was not much of a part of it.
This fishery/industry has not shown the maturity to self regulate and therefore has delegated final authority to others.
WE can assist if welcome but lead? Like I said...exploiters make strange reformers.
