an apparent problem w/a mac certifier's statements ?

Let's keep in mind that both the MAC and MSC were created by WWF. Any certificatio organization that will not divulge how they carry out the certification process or what standards they apply is suspect. RDO has already exposed much of the MAC certification process (it is voluntary) and those being certified set the standard rather than the certifier or their standards organization. Does this make sense?

here's another question.....

if mac is itself not doing any actual certifying, but rather having an independent certification org. do it....

shouldn't their labels be on the individual stores/wholesalers/importers/exporters, instead of , or at least, alongside, mac's?

should they have, at present, a record of documentation on their certification of said facilities, and be willing to provide those results to the public, upon request, since they are INDEPENDENT certifiers?

should mac at least make it known which certification company certified which facility?
