Hi, I am a senior marine biology student at UCSB, will be graduating in June and moving to LA. I am taking at least one year off before grad school and I'm looking for any job in the industry. It could be retail, at a warehouse, research, lab work, etc. I have retail sales experience and lab experience, and can send a resume. I will be able to work full time starting around July 1. If interested let me know. Thanks a lot!

July is probably the worst time of year to find work in the industry. That is the middle of our slow season. My facility is in Port Hueneme- not too bad of a drive for you- and we're always looking for volunteers! :D

hmm, thanks for the tip. When's the busy season? I would guess around the holidays? What kind of facility do you run? I am open to anything right now, so I could use a general idea of what you do and what your volunteers do. Thanks again!

Best time to try to get a job would be around September 1. Busy season generally starts toward the end of that month- mid October. I run an import/wholesale facility. We hold fish and corals for shipout to retail pet shops. We always need volunteers to help frag out damaged corals. If you're delicate with a screwdriver and hammer, you're more than welcome to come out for the day sometime!
