You're not alone, my friend...this week was the first time in 7 weeks we've ordered, because weekly ordering budgets are based on sales...

We had a record month in June too - best sales month EVER - even beat the "busy season". I don't know why other than people know we are here now, I've done a bit of advertising. We had a couple of large system sales, but nothing spectacular... just "fast quarters" as opposed to "slow dollars".
We're just getting our freshwater up and running - we have not changed the amount of space for marines... we upped the capacity of our live rock curing tanks but the rest stayed the same so we aren't "taking away" from what was there... but with the expansion, we upped our dry goods area/selection/inventory, and with the addition of freshwater stuff/supplies, more small hardware is selling. Curiously I'm selling tons of FW "stuff" even though I don't have the fish yet! I've got exisiting customers anxious to bring in their FW surplus... offspring of breeding pairs that they have... plants... there will be lots of trading in my future, and people are coming in often just to check on our progress. Never thought I'd be revved up about FW again
I do have a couple of extra long flat tanks I'd like to put up as prop tanks but I'll have to rearrange a few things if I'm going to fit that in... perhaps in the back room? My newly expanded shop is too small again.... :roll:
The only other choices in town are Wal-Mart ::::shudder:::: (my neighbour goes in there and fishes out dead bodies and changes the Bettas' water while his wife shops!!!) and a full-line store in town that has changed ownership about 4 times in the last 4 years and birds are their real "specialty" but they sell everything from fuzzies to puppies. "Jacks of All Trades" so if people want specific advice, or to order something, they come to us to get it. I don't think they deliver or install either so we have that "extra" available too.
I'm looking forward to the fall season, hopefully by then our expansion project will be done and we'll be in high gear for the busy season.
