I received this from a LA wholesaler:

TSUNAMI DISASTER MAY AFFECT THE FISH SUPPLY
A recent calamity in Indian ocean region may affect fish supplies from those areas.
The boats were wiped out, many divers dissapear and the exporters heard no news from them.
This include Srilanka Fishes, Sumatra Fishes, which includes:
- Cleaner shrimps
- Fire shrimps
- Powder Blue Tang
- Blond Naso Tang
- Volitan Lion
- Squampinis Anthias
- Regal Tang (A. lineatus).
- Diamond Goby
- Wardy Goby
- Fighter Goby
- Gold stripe Maroon clown.
and many more ...

Hmm. No shortage on any of those here.

I've been getting shipments of all of these species, from this area, since the Monday following the disaster.

As JT writes, fortunately, stock inventory held at the exports facilities were not affected so they were able to ship while the divers worked on getting their boats and lives back together. The lack of disruption of fish being imported shows the amazing resilience of the Sri Lankan people. Let's all count our blessings eh?
