How much 'SHOULD' he get.
You gotta change the approach and ask opinions on fair mark-up values.
The greater the outlay and the risk, not to mention the overhead entitle one to a return on the investment. The answer is too obvious to answer but the truth is...the distributor makes virtually nothing on T.R. clowns.
Since they are sold to the stores for nearly the same price and to PETCO for even less...there is little incentive for a wholesaler to carry em except as a service and a lost leader.
Negating the need to pay rent, electricity, salaries, taxes etc. is very unfair because the fair mark-up is the only way to survive to render service.
Many restaurants pay dismal wages to waitresses but have tricked the public to sibsidize them with tips.
Wholesalers have so many lost leaders already....only the richest can carry things that drag the income down.

PS. Buy wildcaught clowns and give the fisherman a livlihood. ..and add value to the reef.
Besides, TR Clowns create greater demand for wild anemones which are far, far more dear to the reef.
Taking away the old anemones erases generations upon generations of clowns....
