Is this aluminum shade net worth the money?

for a 20 x 48 greenhouse I figured $506.88 at 70% shade my math my be wrong but it would need to be 32 ft x 48 ft

Hmm, me thinks that an aluminum shade cloth would not hold up very well long term in a very saltwater humid environment. Greenhouses for aquaculture are extremely humid environments. I worked in one for almost two years.

Isn't there something of a better material out there with better non-corrosive properties?

First off you will not want 70% and I would put it under the poly cover. You can put it over but it might get ripped during thunderstorms. I am using the black plastic shade cloth. Priced right and easy to get.

what shade ratio are you using?

supposedly the aluminum netting can reduce heat load by 20% over black that is why I was interested in it I have seen white plastic type as well

the pictures I first saw of the aluminum netting had it on the outside pulled tight

I use 40% and I am thinking of going back to 30%. I will decide in the next few months.
