While searching a Internet livestock site, saltwaterfish.com, I stumbled across the following "interesting" statement in their description for Blue Hepatus Tang:

This fish will often lie on its side and "play dead" and that is the only reason it is not guaranteed, because the novice can become confused as to its actual health.
While I am pleased that they are accurately describing this tangs natural behaviour, I can't get over how convenient this seems to be for them to not having to honor a DOA claim.

A couple of the local LFS's have many fish that float at the water's surface and "play dead". I guess that's why they don't offer guarantees.

your dog floats at the surface of the water and plays dead. 8O
Here in Florida dogs have to marinate under the water for several days in order to become floaters.
