PADI would be lost on a lot of collectors - "don't hold your breath coming up" is about all that some divers know. Many haven't even heard of decompression sickness, never mind what you're supposed to do about it.

Putting this kind of diver in an environment where more dives correlates with income doesn't bode well.

You mean likecollectors tying off their dive computers at 30', so the captain can't tell their true profile, and the computer never went into shutdown mode :lol:

Teaching sucks, grabbing ankles of students gets old quick :lol:

Most collectors here don't use dive tables or computers.

i want to buy a fish from "Twilight Aquatics"
did anyone have been buy their fish from overseas?
because i from overseas i concern when they ship the fish to me..
but when the fish arrival its die....

Sorry to hear Twilight is gone. I think that certain fish, like flame wrasses, aren't as robust in the chain of custody as others and are especially well suited to alternate sourcing models. I manage a LFS and just today advised a customer who was looking for flames to contact twilight. I doubt I could match the twilight pricing even if I could handpick the same quality at a local wholesaler.
However, I view it as my job to help the hobbyist succeed and sourcing livestock in this hobby is critical to that goal. I believe it does noone any good to pretend that "only what I sell is good" and I will often refer customers to other stores, Craigslist, the local club forums, ebay or anywhere else I would go to source the best for my hobby experience.

No, it has gone.

Brian Greene moved to an island of Micronesia to research coral reef fishes sometime ago, and the Twighlight Aquatics has been closed. I feel very sorry.
