We only use frozen pinkies. And we can't leave until the snake has eaten or the uneaten mouse has been removed.

According to the October issue of Pet Product News Petsmart apparently did offer to buy Petco for $32 a share. Petco turned down the offer because they didn't want a long antitrust review. The article says Petsmart spent $2.9 million in the quarter reviewing a potential acquisition.
Petco did accept a bid of $29 a share from an investment group. (Leonard Green and Partners and Texas Pacific Group)

I would be pissed if I was a shareholder and they passed up a 3$/shr higher offer!
