I see no problem with contributions from Wayne and other hobbyists.

If I kept an aquarium labeled "Aquacultured Ocellaris $25" in one tank and right next to it a tank labeled "Wild Ocellaris possibly cyanide caught $5" then I know two things. First, I'll be feeding some aquacultured clowns for a long time. Second, I'll be answering the question "My clowns died, when are you gonna get some more $5 ones?" for months.

What hobbyist's say and what their wallets say are rarely the same. So IMO it's fine to listen to what hobbyist's say, just don't take it to seriously.

After Cyanide testing you will have only one tank sir, and the rotten apples in your business who are knowingly bringing in cheap cyanide caught fish by the planeload and competing with you will be out of business or in goal.
In other words cyanide testing levels the playing field for retailers and etailers.

I don't believe cyanide testing will have any real effect unless you get the US MO Importers to request that the government start testing THEM and fining THEM...then the **** can roll downhill. And we all know that's never going to happen.

Until there is a CDT that is fast, doesn't blend the fish, and a way to enforce its use states side your points don't make all that much sense.

Are you implying CN is used to capture clownfish? ie. Two tanks of clownfish being only one after CDT.....

Gresham, I believe we are waiting on an RFP by which the MAC and ReefCheck will solve the cyanide testing problem.
