Canadian Reef

Attached please find a couple of links to the Canadian reef discovered off the coast of British Columbia just south of Alaska.

Maybe one day we will all be collecting these species outside of the park without cyanide, in a sustainable manner having regard to the ability of the species to survive in our tanks.

Isn't that refreshing!

Sorry, I missed your connection between a temperate water seamount and a tropical reef. This isn't a "reef" in the sense that it is building mass through biological processes, it is a "rocky reef" in the sense that boaters use the term. Seamount is the proper term for it....about as far removed from the tropical cyanide fisheries as I can imagine....

I too look forward to the day when all our trades lingcod, vermillion rockfish and boccacio are collected without cyanide. Not to mention our wolfeels, grunt sculpin and cabezon.
