Live rock "turning brown"

Why my live rock turning brown. It was once purple, yellow, white. I just added a 10 gal sump. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks

47g tall , 10 gal sump, 30pnds live rock, 2 clowns, 1 tang.

What are your water parameters, including nitrate and phosphate?

How long has the tank been up and running?

What kind of lighting? How long you run it for?

The brown you see are diatoms; typical for a tank that is not yet matured. Overfeeding, too much light and non-RODI water will keep it going.

Hey you werent really clear on how long the tank has been setup but since it was once purple then i am assuming it has been setup for a while or did you just introduce the rock into the tank?? But by the looks of the pics it looks like a new tank. I am currently having problems with my rock as well my tank has been setup for 8 months and it starting to turn white. Good luck hopefully in time you will get the purple back.
