  1. Can scratches be removed from glass tank?

I had an accident in my 150 show tank. Problem is I added the sand bed first, then the live rock which I believe is wrong because the animals in the tank undermined the rock...causing it to crash into the front pane. I now have a 16" deep scratch across the front. Has anyone ever had any luck...
  2. Water coming from beckett injector

My son in law machined me some busings the perfect size, one for the top to slip into 3/4 and one to slip into 1" PVC. I'll send you one if you need it. George at 315-452-5930. I build the Aqua-Jet foamer skimmer. www.acrylicreefsolutions.com
  3. Flat worm removal a sucess with chemicals!

I'm not sure what kind of flatworm they are...I didn't know there are different kinds. There were two kinds of mushrooms...don't know their scientific name....one was an everyday green mushroom and the other are called green hairy mushroom...not much help. Seem to me that whatever they are...
  4. Water coming from beckett injector

I would try a higher pressure rated pump....Iwaki 70 RLT. A mag 24 will also do the job. It looks like the beckett is high enough too so thats not the problem... As far as 3/4" pipe...everyone uses it going into the beckett...but coming out the exit it must be 1". Thats the problem...once air...
  5. Flat worm removal a sucess with chemicals!

Thanks! Seeing alot of people kill their tanks using flatworm remover...this is all natural and it doesn't hurt the mushrooms. My mushrooms were so covered by the flatworms that they appeared brown instead of bright green! Now I can't find even one worm.
  6. Flat worm removal a sucess with chemicals!

I had two problems, apistas which came on some live rock and flat worms. The apista was eliminated by taking the live rock out and leaving it in the sun for a couple weeks. This may be a problem for some...but it worked for me. The flat worms would hang out 95% of the time on a my hairy...
  7. Water coming from beckett injector

All becketts maintain water up to the air intake holes...thats why you had to build an injector housing. Some other skimmers don't have a clear injector housing but I assure you they too have water at the Beckett. It is perfectly normal and there really is no way to avoid this without altering...
  8. Red Slime Problem...Frustrated!!!

Thanks to all who responded...I do feed on the heavy side in my agressive tank. I have a Hippo Tang, Lion fish and a Trigger. I do not do water changes and water replacement is with R/O. I have a great skimmer and a large Calurpra bed in the sump with 200 watts of P.C.'s. I'll start with some...
  9. Red Slime Problem...Frustrated!!!

Can anything be done about this...Where does it come from? How do I control it? For two years I never had a problem with it, now for 6 months it's constantly on the sand bed and now my live rock. I think it may be killing my coraline algae too. The tank looks terrible and I may throw in the...
