I'd do a ton of bio-balls with a huge skimmer and big refugium.
What kind of fish are going in the tank?
The refugium would be a great place to grow food for tangs.
I have 2 250 watt MH's with 10,000K bulbs over my 80g tank and do not use any other suplemental lighting and I really like the color my bulbs put out.

When I started my first reef tank I got a bunch of those guys on live rock. They look like slugs with those rather flat shells. They bred like crazy and after a while they all died off rather quickly.

My drain isn't going down to the basement but only 4 feet and it was making tons of noise. I installed a Spears gate valve in the sump at the end of the drain line and am able to adjust this so it is at a perfect level to keep a constant water level in the line and there is absolutely no noise...
