could someone recomend a good phosphate filter pad or some other relatively simple way of getting rid of phosphate. i know i need a bit, but i have too much. my top of water contains none and i dont really know how it got in my tank. thanks a lot

i left an eel trap out one night (in the ocean) and wound up with one well over a foot. they are very neet.

i am going to add a deep sand bed to my already 1/4 inch deep bed. i captured about half the sand i will need yesterday, and could get the rest today. Could someone tell me if it would be best to add it all at once, or slowly over the course of a few days. thanks

it's a sea hair (anaspidea). that dark stuff it let out is a type of poison. in larger quantities its purple. leave it alone and it will be fine, but i have seen them get about a foot long, and there poison could be a problem for the tank.

i am planning on adding a deep sand bed to my tank. now i have about 1/4 inch of sand in there. today i captured about half the live sand i plan to add. should i waight untill i have it all (tomorrow) and add it all at once, or would it be better to add it slowly. thak you

could a few pacific mole crabs (hippa pacifica) be benifitial to add to my aquarium? has anyone ever kept them? i think they would help airate the sand bed, but would they be too much?

there really very cool. i could catch them if i like. they are totaly motified crustations to burrow through the sand.
