This must be fixed. Can't believe I didn't even get to the voting. Catching sweeping tentacles can be caught on film every night, but a fish or coral catching another fish, that is a one in a million shot. I gotta go with the cuttlefish then.

well, i just tried the ice water trick but the unit caps on the low end at 58 F. I replaced the battery and put in back in the sump and it is still registering 90 F. What would you guys trust, a 2 year old digital, or a 2 day old floating glass thermometer? I guess I will go buy another one...

I have had one of the dual display digital thermometers on my reef for about 2 years. Do these things lose temperature calibration? My tank has been getting very hot lately, it shows like 91 F but then I bought a cheap floating glass thermometer and it shows 83 F. I know my tank is not 91 F...

Try giving the coral more flow. I just upgraded my tank with a couple of sea-swirls on a closed loop and I have never seen polyp extension like this on my corals before. IME if a fish is nipping on a coral throughout the day it will not expand at all. Slowly it will die if it can't feed...

How long should the treatment last if I use malachite green of methelyne blue? Just one cycle? I have a 5 gallon glass Q Tank with a new cheapo sponge filter, small powerhead, and heater. I will take water from the main tank. Will this be sufficient?
