I've heard of many people using rubbermaid containers for sumps, i'm considering it myself. Curious if anyone has any negative reasons.

Looking to upgrade on a 55gal. Considering the: Iwaki WMD30RLX or Little Giant 3MDQX-SC. Any ideas on performance, noise? Considered the QuietOne pump, but not sure if its powerful enough.

Are little giant pumps loud because of the fan? or is it just like a computer fan? The tank is in the basement, so noise isn't a huge concern- but I will upgrade the tank size eventually down the road and maybe a new location.
