You definatly need another water source. The bottom of the skimmer has 2 openings. 1 Is for the main venturi pump. The second is down below which is your water inlet. Actually, on the ballast it says it will work with 15W T8 bulbs???? 15W? Never seen those... Im just going to pick up 2 T12 bulbs. Apparently from what i read, most standard ballasts wont fire a T12 bulb becauause of differences in the voltage.

The T8 Bulbs are the same wattage as the T12's, however on the ballast it says it only works with T12 bulbs. The fixture that came with the tank is a single bulb setup and work work for what I want to do. I either need to find 24" Standard T12 bulbs, or a new ballast that will work with them.

The lights i was referring to have built in fans are complete assemblys, by aqualite. I think there made my coralife correct? Also, dont MH lights run hottter then any type of lighting?

I think i posted that above, some soft corals, and mabey a few hard corals like brains etc. The tank doesnt have a center brace. Its an oceanic and the glass is very thick and well built. I havent really seeen an oceanic with a center brace under 36"
