Seems like a reasonable question, Shavo. In nature there is moonlight for only certain peroids of time, i.e. cycle of the moon, clouds etc. Yet as you stated it makes for nice night time viewing. :D

I run my skimmer 24/7. Thnaks for th links Mr. X read the Marineland article which does mention trace elements can be removed (but easily replenished). It also recommends running skimmer 24/7. :)

Thanks for advice. I use R/O water from LFS. My skimmer seems to foam reasonably well i.e. its always producing foam. :D
