  1. Bush Administration Wants To Add CO2 To Oceans

There is evidence of Dansgaard-Oeschger cycles. Just to put Global warming in perceptive, the hotest day ever recorded in Africa was in El Azizia, Libya back in Sep of 1922. There has not been a hotter day on the Continent since. In North America the hottest day was recorded in Death Valley in...
  2. So Cal Frag Swap - Encino -Sat Jan 17th 3pm

Sounds like a great time. Will you have frags for sale as well, I have only had my tank up for a short time and may not have any frags to trade by Jan.
  3. Elementary 10000k question

Here's a link that may help answer your question. http://www.thereefweb.com/lighting.htm
  4. Electrical problem

I had the same problem with my Icecap 660. It was just a few months old. I sent it back to icecap and they repaired it and sent it back to me the day after they received it. It works perfectly now. Great company.
  5. Weekly Discussion - Most expensive thing

I would have to say my Skimmer (custom CS12-2 @ $900) and a close second would have to be the chiller. Skimmer is Okay, I think my Lifereef was better, but the chiller was worth every penny.
  6. Potters Leopard Wrasse.........Advice required

I kept one for 3 years and when I moved gave it to Aquarium City. They've had it in their Soft Coral tank for almost 2 years now and it is doing great. Unlike mandarins this fish will eat frozen food. That being said I recently purchased a different leopard wrasse and have not seen it since.
  7. Anyone know where to get a package deal on Zooathids (frags)

http://www.aquaprop.com sells on ebay and often offers zoo packs.
  8. MY 200 In Wall

And a look at what's going on inside the tank.
  9. MY 200 In Wall

The sump is 55 gallons and the skimmer is a Euroreef 12-2. The reactor is a Lifereef which works great and the return pump is an Ampmaster 3000. The skimmer is a little disappiontment I think that my old Lifereef 36 worked a lot better, but it uses far less power and living in CA the electric...
  10. MY 200 In Wall

The lights are on a slider which makes it very easy to work on the lights. I still need to do something with the cords. One more thing on my TODO list.
  11. MY 200 In Wall

This is the canopy. I built this room in my garage around the tank and thought a vented canopy would help keep heat away from the tank. It seems to work well. There is a 6 inch fan on the top of the canopy which blows air through the ceiling. Works well but now I have to have the garage vented...
  12. MY 200 In Wall

This is the return on the left side on a closed loop which is fed by an Ampmaster 3600. I forgot to have a hole drilled in the tank for the inlet to the pump so you might notice the 1 1/2 inch pipe in the back which feeds the pump.
  13. MY 200 In Wall

Here are the lights, 2 400 watt 65K and 2 110 Watt atinics (there were 4 but I broke 2)
  14. MY 200 In Wall

I just wanted to share a few photos of my tank. I think most of my algae problems are behind me now. The tank has been problem free now for a few weeks and all I can say is about time. I hope you enjoy the photos and any feedback is appreciated.
  15. Pics of my tank - graphics intensive - beware dial-up
