I made a sump 3 yr 4 mo ago out of the plexiglass (.220 or close to 1/4") from home depot. I used weld-on #3 and hand scraped the saw marks on the edges, no leaks yet. 28"x14"x16" , I have no regrets with it, but, it is a sump not a show tank. Jim

If possible with the SCWD try to center it, I installed mine as per your diagram a while ago and it seemed to put out more on the short side and not enough on the long side. I did'nt have a problem with centering it, but used what I had on hand, should have bought the material and done it right...

Chill seems responsbile, hence the questions. There is no guarentee that if Chill doesn't buy it, a responsible hobbiest would. If I were the fish, I would rather take my chances with Chill, then with someone with gold dripping off them buying it because they "have to have it"(whatever it is)...

I read in a post (somewhere,slips my 53 yr mind at the moment) that if you trim them back once a mo it will stop it from going sexual, don't know if true or not, but thought I would through it out, seems it stops some sort of cycle.

Ditto one the CPR, also they are using the MaxiJets on them now. If not you can get the kit on their site to change over a regular MaxiJet(as I did), Rio's just scared me after reading neg. about them.

Thanks for your ideas. Is the pipe with the cuts in it capped at the end? If so I would worry about the cuts becoming plugged, but then again I seem to worry about everything after making Noah proud a few times ;-)

That's interesting, I purchased a 6 stage unit from Aquasafe(Canada) and it only drops my phosphate by a half point. Using Red Sea kit. Plain Tap Water= >2.0 RO/DI water= 1.5 RO/DI + Instant Ocean aged mix = 1.5 Tank = 2.0 some of it is due to my over feeding(dang it) but I sure am disapointed...
